Ronald L. Robarge, age 62, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2016, at his residence following a sudden illness. Mr. Robarge was a lifelong farmer whose real passion was raising beef cattle and especially Shorthorn cattle. He also worked for 38 years at General Motors in Defiance, Ohio, as a team leader. He was a member of UAW Local 211, Ohio Cattlemen’s Association, and American Shorthorn Association, was involved with FFA for many years and was a 4-H advisor for over 25 years. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan.
Ronald Lee Robarge was born on October 16, 1953, in Defiance, Ohio, the son of Franklin “Jake” and Dolores (Florence) Robarge. He was a 1971 graduate of Bryan High School and a 1975 graduate of The Ohio State University. On June 24, 1978, he married Tammy A. Schindler at Marysdale Immaculate Conception Church, and she survives.
Ronald is also survived by his children, Dan (Erica) Robarge, of Defiance, Jenny (Matt) Meyer, of Bryan, April (Keeley) Robarge, of Montpelier, Ohio, and Jacob Robarge, of Bryan; four grandchildren, Levi, Collin, Madeline and Abigail; brothers, John (Laura) Robarge, of Bryan, and Larry (Deb) Robarge, of West Unity, Ohio; and a sister, Patricia Robarge, of Stryker, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Polly Batterson.
Visitation for Ronald will be held on Monday, October 10, 2016, from 5:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, and one hour prior to funeral services on Tuesday. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Brent Sloan officiating. Burial at Shiffler Cemetery will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in the form of donations to the Defiance County 4-H programs.
