Marjorie Jane Hinkle, age 74, of Edgerton, Ohio, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2016, at Parkview Heart Institute in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she was a patient, after a brief illness. Mrs. Hinkle was a 1960 graduate of Edgerton High School and graduated from Davis Business College in Toledo, Ohio, in 1961. Throughout the years she worked at Toledo Hospital; Hogue, Dwyer, Gretick, Bish & Lowe law office, Truss Components; and Edgerton Forge. She was a member of the Edgerton United Methodist Church and was active with the Edgerton Fire Department Auxiliary. Most importantly, she was a proud wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Marge was born on January 1, 1942, near Edgerton, the daughter of Victor L. and Nora N. (Frager) Hopkins. She married her husband of fifty-three years, Harold “Joe” Hinkle, on February 10, 1963, at the Edgerton United Methodist Church and he survives.
Survivors also include two daughters, Kim Hinkle, of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Carla Hinkle, of Bryan, Ohio; one son, Doug (Chrissy) Hinkle, of Hampstead, Maryland; four grandsons, Trevor Bowers, Alex Hey, Tommy Hinkle and Gavin Saul; one great-granddaughter, Bailey Rae Jane Bowers; four stepgrandsons, Grant, Logan, Brice and Mason Hardesty; three sisters, Sue (Duane) Suffel, Winnie (Jerry) Beadle, and Bessie Wright; a brother-in-law, Donald Whitney; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Evadne (Bob) Wagner, her mother-in-law, Edna Hinkle, a daughter-in-law, Michele Hinkle, and a sister-in-law, Karen Whitney.

A grave side service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at Maple Grove Cemetery in Edgerton with Pastor Tom Ketzler officiating. A Celebration of Marge’s Life will follow at the Edgerton Fire Hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Edgerton Fire Department Auxiliary or to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA).
