Judith A. Engler, age 73, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 9:17 A.M. on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at Hillside Country Living near Bryan, Ohio, where she was a resident. Mrs. Engler was a 1961 graduate of Pentwater, Michigan, High School, where she was homecoming queen her senior year. She was a secretary and had been employed by several companies throughout the years, including Edgerton Local Schools and St. Mary School, The Ohio Art Company, and Oren Elliott Products. She loved trapshooting with her husband, Byron, traveling, golfing and supporting QVC.
Judith A. Engler was born on March 8, 1943, in Hudson, Michigan, the daughter of Gerald and Mary (Gutting) Rutledge. She married Byron Lee Engler on November 13, 1961, in Covington, Kentucky, and he preceded her in death on August 10, 2011.
Survivors include three daughters, Shari (Dan) Gnagy, of Angola, Indiana, Rebecca (Dale) Mason, of Edgerton, and Victoria Martin, of Bryan; three grandchildren, Joshua and Jordan Mason and Keeley (Brandon Wood) Augsburger; two brothers, Jerry (Mary) Rutledge and Phil (Ginger) Rutledge; three sisters, Connie (Jerry) Rising, Ginnie Clark and Beverly (Steve) Brower; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Richard Rutledge.
Services and interment at Maple Grove Cemetery in Edgerton will be private.
