Marita Farris

Marita Farris, age 77, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away at 2:20 A.M. on Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice, near Defiance, Ohio. Marita worked for Bryan Custom Plastics as a press operator prior to her retirement. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Born on December 17, 1938, in Linz, Austria, Marita was the daughter of Ludwig and Herta (Meuller) Bitz. She married Charles Farris and he survives in Bryan. Marita is also survived by her son, Tom Roehrig, of Fayette; daughters, Sandra (Randy) Moody, of Osseo, Michigan, and Jennifer (Todd) Mocherman, of Defiance; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Eric, Nicole and Marcus; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Elvira Hasse; and brother, Joachem Bitz, both of Germany. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Marlene Woelke, Wolfgang Bitz, Rosemary Benhamidi, Ludwig Bitz and Manfred Bitz. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2016, at 1:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, with Pastor Mary Beth Smith-Gunn officiating. Burial will follow in Fountain Grove Cemetery, Bryan. Visitation will be held Saturday from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. prior to the service. Memorial contributions are requested to the Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice Center, Defiance.
