Tommy A. “Taco” Herrington, age 63, of Ney, Ohio, died at 9:37 A.M. on Saturday, July 23, 2016, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice near Defiance, Ohio. Tom worked at Ohio Art in machine maintenance for 37 years. He was a member of the Bryan Eagles Aerie 2233 and the Stryker Jaycees, was a volunteer with the Springfield Township/Stryker Fire Department for 15 years and was a union steward with UAW local 701.
Tommy A. Herrington was born on September 1, 1952, in Garrett, Indiana, the son of Harold A. and Betty J. (Miller) Herrington. He married Jackie R. DeLong on October 21, 2000, in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and she survives.
In addition to his wife, Tom is survived by his children, Tyson Herrington, of Devil’s Lake, Michigan, Todd Herrington, of Stryker, Heather Siders, of Ney, Ohio, and Holly (Mitch Sattison) Dubree, of Quincy, Michigan; grandchildren, Madison and Iestyn Siders, both of Ney, and Mackenzie and Triton Sattison, both of Quincy; sister, Loretta (Tom) Cape, of Edgerton; brothers, Kenneth (Jeanie) Herrington, of Stryker, and Timothy Herrington, of Wauseon; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and beloved dogs, Bonz and Rayne.
Visitation for Tom “Taco” Herrington will be on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, from 2:00-7:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home at 860 West Mulberry Street in Bryan, Ohio. Funeral services will be held immediately following the visitation, at 7:00 P.M., with Ted Mathes officiating.
Memorials in the name of Tom Herrington may be given to the family.
