Richard Wayne “Rick” Hauger, age 65, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 2:09 P.M. on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at Genesis HealthCare-Bryan Center, after an extended illness. Mr. Hauger was a 1969 graduate of Bryan High School and also graduated from International Business College in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was employed by B.F. Goodrich in Fort Wayne for awhile before moving from the state and then upon returning to Ohio he was employed by the Williams County Highway Department until his retirement due to disability. He enjoyed golf when he was able to play and listening to music. He was also an avid fan of football and baseball, especially the Cleveland Indians.
Richard Wayne Hauger was born on March 3, 1951, in Bryan, the son of Robert W. and Lou C. (Nance) Hauger.
Survivors include one daughter, Jennifer (Ken) Burkhart, of Napoleon, Ohio; one son, Timothy Hauger, in Colorado; his mother, Lou Hauger, of Bryan; two sisters, Roberta “Bobbie” Hamon, of Bryan, and Cynthia “Cindy” Henry, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016, from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. in Christ Community Church in Ridgeville Corners, Ohio. Services will follow, beginning at 1:00 P.M. in the church with Pastor Chris Pierce officiating. Interment will follow in Shiffler Cemetery, near Bryan.
