Violet M. “Sue” Burch, age 94, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 3:16 P.M. on Sunday, May 8, 2016, shortly after admittance to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan. Mrs. Burch was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bryan and Bryan Eagles, Aerie #2233 Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, fishing and spending time at her cottage at Round Lake near Reading, Michigan.
Violet M. “Sue” Burch was born on October 31, 1921, in DeKalb County, Indiana, near Newville, the daughter of George W. and Minnie M. (Gross) Lucas. She married Clarence “Shorty” Burch on May 14, 1941, in Blakeslee, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on August 31, 1983.
Survivors include two sons, Rick (Paula) Burch and David (Marie) Burch, both of Bryan; one daughter, Donna (Harold) Lloyd, of Archbold, Ohio; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death in addition to her husband were her parents; four brothers, Claren, Wayne, Robert and George Lucas; and one sister, Mae Coolman.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2016, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Recitation of the rosary will be at 8:00 P.M. on Thursday in the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 13, 2016, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bryan, with Reverend James Halleron officiating. Interment will follow in Shiffler Cemetery, Bryan.
