Sandra S. Thompson, age 54, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 8:30 P.M. on Friday, April 1, 2016, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice near Defiance, Ohio, after a brief illness. Mrs. Thompson was a 1979 graduate of Edgerton High School and was employed as a cook at Bryan Eagles Aerie #2233, of which she was a former member, until her retirement. Prior to that she worked as a cook for her parents at the Edon Steak House in Edon, Ohio. She was an avid and sometimes opinionated sports fan, especially when watching her kids or grandkids play.
Sandra Thompson was born on June 10, 1961, in Hicksville, Ohio, the daughter of Clarence O. “Jim” and Velma L. (Goebel) Bigger. She married Keith E. Thompson on August 5, 1985, in Bryan, Ohio, and he survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are one daughter, Carmen (Kevin) Cape, of Bryan, Ohio; one son, Dustin (Chelsey) Thompson, of Edgerton; five grandchildren, Layne and Corinne Cape and Dominich, Danae and Chloe Thompson; one brother, Clarence O. “Buddy” (Connie) Bigger, of Edgerton; two sisters, Christina (Terry) Terrill, of Hicksville, Ohio, and Dawn (Leslie) Thompson, of Edgerton; and her beloved dog, Miley. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister, Kimberly Bigger.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton. Services will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, with Pastor Donny Goff officiating. Interment will be private.
