Emma Cornelia Kent Harrison, “Nana,” age 97, went on to her new life to be with the Lord on March 7, 2016. Emma was born October 22, 1918, to Louis and Anna (Bliss) Kent. She married Charles McLean Harrison, Jr. on June 1, 1938. They owned and operated Harrison’s Ranch House restaurant for 20 years in Toledo, where Emma made all of the pies and dinner rolls. They moved to a farm in Napoleon to enjoy their grandchildren and ponies. She was active in the Henry County Historical Society as a life member. She was a 60-year member of the Triune Chapter, Ohio Order of the Eastern Star and a 27-year member of the Elijah Gunn, Sr. Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Pa” Harrison, Jr.; son, Harold William Harrison; sisters, Jacie Courtney and Helen Mae Slight; and brothers, Lavene, Jule, John and Cloyce Kent.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Rosanne Harrison Fisher, and son-in-law, Ronald Fisher; five grandchildren, Jeffery (Cheryl) Fisher, of Jackson, Ohio, Rhonda (John) Drinnon, of Bryan, Ohio, Jennifer (Erich) Bailey, of Defiance, Ohio, Ryan (Terri) Fisher, of Columbus, Ohio, Peter (Mayra) Harrison, of Eldora, Iowa; twelve great-grandchildren, Nicholas Fisher, of Jackson, Ohio, Elizabeth Fisher, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jordan Drinnon and Jillian Drinnon, both of Bryan, Ohio, Jacob Bailey and Emma Bailey, both of Defiance, Ohio, Alexander Fisher and Julianna Fisher, both of Columbus, Ohio, Shelby Harrison, of West Lake, Ohio, Alexander Harrison, James Harrison and Xavier Harrison, all of Eldora, Iowa; sister, Irma Pfahlert, of Wauseon, Ohio; brother, Royal (Margaret) Kent, of Oxnard, California; sister-in-law, Annie Kent, of Nashport, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 4, 2016 in the Krill Funeral Home with Dr. Nancy Berkheiser officiating. Interment will be in Grelton Cemetery, Grelton, Ohio.
Memorial are asked to be made to the Williams County 4-H Endowment Fund or the Elijah Gunn, Sr. Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution.
