David L. Miller, age 74, of rural Edon, Ohio, died at 8:59 P.M. on Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at the Toledo Hospital in Toledo, Ohio, where he was a patient, after a brief illness. Mr. Miller was a veteran of the United States Navy and worked for more than thirty years for Conrail. He was a member of the American Legion and formerly a member of the Eagles and Moose Lodges of LaGrange, Indiana. A collector of antique cars, he enjoyed tinkering and restoring cars. David L. Miller was born on June 28, 1941, in Edon, Ohio, the son of Raymond and Juanita (Rigelman) Miller. He married Rosa L. Fikel on June 16, 2000, in Blakeslee, Ohio, and she survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters, Jody (Denzil) Ritchie, of Irvine, Kentucky, Sonya (Alan) Jones, of Angola, Indiana, and Rene (Jerry) Miller, of Edon; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two stepchildren, Stephanie (C.J.) Hargett, of Bryan, and Leah Scantlen, of New Orleans, Louisiana; two brothers, Dick Miller, of Edon, and Dean Miller, in Wisconsin; and two sisters, Ruth Lewis, in Oklahoma, and Sue Rumsey, of Angola. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Miller, and one brother, Jim Miller. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 204 West Indiana, Street, Edon. Service will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2016, at 2:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon, with Pastor Homer Miller officiating. Private interment will take place in Columbia Cemetery with grave side military rites. Memorials are requested to a charity of the donor's choice.
