Lucile A. Seibert

Lucile A. Seibert, age 89, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her sleep early Monday, February 22, 2016, at Genesis HealthCare-Bryan Center, where she was a resident. Mrs. Seibert was a 1944 graduate of Edgerton (Ohio) High School and also graduated from International Business College with an Associate Degree in secretarial science. She had worked for the Paulding County Extension office early in her career and then as a cashier at the Bryan Hospital. She was a devoted homemaker, wife and mother who enjoyed gardening, working on crafts, camping and the outdoors and square dancing as a member of the Fountain City Squares. Her memberships included St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bryan, where she was a member of the Shamrock Circle and C. L. of C. She and her husband also enjoyed their twenty-two years of wintering in Texas. Lucile A. Seibert was born on July 3, 1926, in Edgerton, Ohio, the daughter of Arthur and Eva (Dietsch) Herman. She married her husband of sixty-six years, Joseph S. Seibert, on May 14, 1949, in Paulding, Ohio, and he survives. Surviving in addition to her husband are her children, Stephen (Jane) Seibert, of Avilla, Indiana, Douglas (Kathleen) Seibert, of Ney, Ohio, Christine (Lee) Wilson, of Wauseon, Ohio, Eva (Larry) Mavis, of Farmer, Ohio, Nicholas (Laurie) Seibert, of Edgerton, Ohio, and Kathryn (Jay) Bray, of Noblesville, Indiana; twenty grandchildren; thirty-six great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Kohout, of Defiance, Ohio; and one brother, Edwin (Eleanor) Herman, of Edgerton. She was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Marilyn Herman, and one brother-in-law, Richard Kohout. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 26, 2016, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, with recitation of the rosary at 8:00 P.M. Services will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bryan, with Reverend Dan Borgelt officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Edgerton. Memorials are requested to the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart in Reading, Pennsylvania, or to St. Patrick Catholic Church or School.
