John A. Spurlin, age 80, of Bryan, Ohio and formerly of Vermillion, Ohio, passed away at 4:40 A.M. on Saturday, February 20, 2016, at his son’s home near Bryan. John owned Office Equipment, a repair service in Sandusky for over 50 years. He also served in the US Marine Corps Reserves. John had been a member of the Elks in Vermillion. Born December 26, 1935 in Benton Ridge, Ohio, he was the son of Aubrey and Martha (Ford) Spurlin. John is survived by his son, Jim (Alicia) Spurlin, of Bryan; granddaughters, Kayla (Jon) Wolf, of Fort Wayne, Inddiana, Angel Marcum, of Edgerton and Diamond Jade Spurlin, of Bryan and a great granddaughter, MialaRae Marcum, of Edgerton. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Shirley Spurlin, a son, John A. Spurlin, Jr., a brother and a sister. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan has been entrusted with John’s arrangements. Memorials in the name of John Spurlin may be given to the Go Fund Me site set up for John’s expenses.
