Marilyn M. Herman, age 77, of rural Edgerton, Ohio, died at 2:39 A.M. on Sunday, February 7, 2016, in her home, surrounded by her family, after an extended illness. Mrs. Herman was a 1956 graduate of Edgerton High School and graduated from the Mercy School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. She was employed as a surgical nurse at Williams County General Hospital Montpelier Hospital in Montpelier, Ohio, for many years and then at the Community Hospitals and Wellness Center in Bryan, Ohio, retiring with more than twenty years of service. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Edgerton and the Rosary Altar Society. Marilyn M. Herman was born on July 9, 1938, near Edon, the daughter of Arthur W. and Pauline M. (Muehlfeld) Trausch. She married Ronald X. Herman on June 25, 1960, in Blakeslee, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on March 31, 1997. Survivors include three sons, Chris R. (Ellen) Herman, of Edon, Jeffrey A. Herman, of Edon, and Jason X. (Kim) Herman, of Edgerton; two daughters, Polly (Bob) Meyer, of Hicksville, Ohio, and Julie Osmun, of Edgerton; fourteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her longtime companion, Lowell Trubey; and her dear friends, Rita Goebel and Shirley Wickerham. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Services will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at 2:00 P.M. in St. Mary Catholic Church, Edgerton, with Reverend Daniel Borgelt officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Edgerton. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton, with recitation of the rosary at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Memorials in the name of Marilyn M. Herman are requested to St. Mary Catholic School or to Community Health Professionals Hospice and Home Health.
