John L. Fackler

John L. Fackler, age 71, of Bryan, Ohio, and formerly a long-time resident of Hudson, Michigan, died at 12:15 P.M. on Friday, January 29, 2016, shortly after admittance to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan. Mr. Fackler was a veteran of the United States Army and had been employed at Metalloy Die Cast in Hudson until his retirement. He enjoyed nature, watching birds and wildlife and planting and tending to his flower garden. John L. Fackler was born on May 23, 1944, in Hamler, Ohio, the son of Lewis and Hattie (Funk) Fackler. He married Nancy I. Merillat on September 18, 1970, in Hudson, Michigan, and she survives. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Wayne and Ken Fackler; and seven sisters, Ruth Swalley, Helen Newell, Evelyn Wilhelm, Cora Martinez, Betty Martinez, Florence Oukley and Alice Oukley. In keeping with John’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, has been entrusted with services.
