Robert B. Impton, age 86, of Waldron, Michigan, passed away at his home on Thursday, January 7, 2016. Mr. Impton retired from Campbell’s Soup Company in Napoleon, Ohio, after 33 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Alaska during the Korean War. Robert B. Impton was born on April 7, 1929, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of Floyd W. and Ethel (Deck) Impton. He married Louann Loveless and she preceded him in death. Mr. Impton is survived by his sons, Roy Impton, of Bryan, Timothy (Linda) Impton, of Arizona, Robert (Kathy) Impton, Jr., of Florida, and Thomas Impton, of Waldron, Michigan; eight grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brother, Ray Impton, of Bryan; and sister, Arlene Franks, of Bryan. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, Harold Impton, and sisters, Leona Shirkey and Donnabelle Coy. Grave side funeral services will be held at Shiffler Cemetery with grave side military rites provided by the Bryan VFW Post 2489 and U.S. Army. The family requests memorial donations in Robert’s name be made to the family to help with medical and funeral expenses.
