O. Oleen Faulhaber, age 94, of Edon, Ohio, died at 4:05 P.M. on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, in her home. Mrs. Faulhaber was a lifelong resident of the Edon area and graduated from Edon High School in 1940. She had worked at Spangler Candy Company in Bryan, Ohio, during the war from 1940-1947 until she was married and later worked at Beam Stream in Montpelier, Ohio, for eighteen years. She was a faithful member of Bethlehem Christian Union Church near Edon and Christian Union Women’s Fellowship and also the Farm Bureau. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, mowing her yard, cutting wood and playing cards and games, as well as attending the Senior Center in Edon. O.Oleen Faulhaber was born on July 4, 1921, in Licking, Missouri, the daughter of Davis E. and Alice M. (Cotton) Skiles. She married Elwood L. Faulhaber on June 1, 1947, in Edon and he preceded her in death on April 12, 1995. Survivors include one daughter, Kay Faulhaber, of Edon; one son, Allen (Lucinda) Faulhaber, of Edon; four grandchildren, AmberLeigh Faulhaber, of Montpelier, Ohio, Adaleigh Faulhaber, of Napoleon, Ohio, Jordan Faulhaber, with the United States Air Force, and Jenny (Allman) Beck, of Mooresville, North Carolina; three great-grandchildren, Ava Faulhaber, Zachary Beck and Andrew Beck; and two brothers, Hugh “Mac” Skiles, of Fremont, Indiana, and Howard (Thelma) Skiles, of Bryan, Ohio. Preceding her in death in addition to her husband were one brother, Herschel Skiles, and one sister, Alma Fox. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2016, from 1:00-6:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 204 West Indiana Street, Edon. Services will be held on Monday, January 11, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. at Bethlehem Christian Union Church near Edon with Pastor Michael Slagle officiating. Interment will follow in Edon Cemetery. Memorials are requested to Bethlehem Christian Union Church or Gideon’s International.
