Galen L. Weber, age 88, of Edgerton, Ohio, went to be with his Lord at 12:30 A.M. on December 30, 2015, at Laurels of DeKalb in Butler, Indiana, after a brief illness. Mr. Weber was a 1945 graduate of Edgerton High School and was veteran of the United States Army. He was a lifelong farmer and also served as a rural postal carrier for 31 years in the Edgerton community. He was faithful member of Bryan First Baptist Church, in Bryan, Ohio. Galen L.Weber was born on October 5, 1927, near Edgerton, Ohio, the son of Carl J. and Doris E. (Blair) Weber. He married Doris Balliet on November 22, 1964, in Auburn, Indiana, and she survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Steven (Belinda) Weber, of Concord, North Carolina, and David (Carolyn) Weber, of Barrington, New Jersey; one daughter, Brenda Weber, of Salem, New Jersey; three grandchildren, Jared, Lance and Mark Weber; one sister, Dorothy Adkins, of Omaha, Nebraska; and one brother, Ivan (Pauline) Weber, of Dacono, Colorado. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Erma Houser and Grace Weber; and four brothers, J. Franklin, Loren, Donald and Forest Weber. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 1, 2016, in the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Services will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, Ohio, with Pastor John MacFarlane officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Edgerton. Memorials are requested to Bryan First Baptist Church or to Child Evangelism Fellowship, Auburn, Indiana.
