Alta L. Roehrs

Alta L. Roehrs, age 43, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 9:07 P.M. on Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at the Cleveland Clinic, where she was a patient, after a brief illness. Mrs. Roehrs was a stay at home mom who enjoyed camping, cooking and baking and spending time with her family and friends. Alta L. Roehrs was born on January 29, 1972, in Santa Monica, California, the daughter of Jacob L. and Audree S. (Luke) Lorentz. She married William J. “Bill” Roehrs on February 14, 2003, in Defiance, Ohio, and he survives. Survivors also include two daughters, Malissa (Nic) Dye and Sharon Petree, both of Stryker, Ohio; two sons, Thomas Petree and Andrew Roehrs, both of Stryker; two grandchildren, Audree and Jacob Stubblefield; one brother, Kevin Dale Lorentz, of Stryker; and her aunts and uncles, Bob and Judy Lorentz, of Bryan, Robert and Betty Flory, of Bryan, and Rex and Ruth Detwiler, of West Unity, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, an aunt and uncle, Helen and Norman Castor, and her grandmother, Vesta Lorentz. Services will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, with Pastor Melany Chalker officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 A.M. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton, Ohio. Memorials are requested to the family to help with medical and funeral expenses.
