Virginia Armstrong, age 87, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 2:50 P.M. on Saturday, November 28, 2015, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan, where she was a patient after a brief illness. Virginia was a homemaker and devoted wife and mother. Virginia Armstrong was born on September 1, 1928, in Eaton, Ohio, the daughter of Ernest and Ethel (Jones) Shiplett. She married William Lewis Armstrong on June 28, 1947, in Angola, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on November 2, 2006. Survivors include two sons, William E. (Maryory) Armstrong, of San Diego, California, and Thomas E. (Tammy) Armstrong, of Nelsonville, Ohio; two daughters, Deborah S. (Rich) Green, of Kalkaska, Michigan, and Karen Armstrong, of Bryan; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and twelve step-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Irene Nelson and Pauline Horn. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, from 5:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 204 West Indiana Street, Edon, Ohio. Services will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon, with Pastor Becky Ploughe officiating. Interment will follow in Columbia Cemetery. Memorials in the name of Virginia Armstrong may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.
