Melanie Rose Smith, six-month-old daughter of Chelsea Childers and Christopher Smith, of Bryan, Ohio, died on Monday, November 2, 2015, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident earlier that day in Williams County. Melanie Rose Smith was born on April 19, 2015, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and is survived by her parents; two sisters, Amanda Childers and Madison Smith, and one brother, Mathew Smith, all at home; her maternal grandparents, Chris (Charles Nichols) Taylor, of Bryan, and Wayne (Stephanie) Taylor in Florida; her paternal grandparents, Paul and Tara Smith, in Florida; her maternal great-grandparents, Mary Stantz, of Bryan, and Lynda Lamneck, in Florida; her paternal great-grandparents, Fred and Pat Gosnell, in Florida; numerous aunts and uncles, including Cassandra Nichols, Leila Taylor and Justin Taylor; and numerous cousins. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015, from 12:00-1:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 Mulberry Street, Bryan. Services will follow at 1:30 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, with Pastor Mark Holbrook officiating. Interment will follow in Fountain Grove Cemetery in Bryan. Memorials are requested to the family for expenses.
