Steve M. Pixler, age 59, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at the Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice near Defiance, Ohio. Mr. Pixler was a truck driver for many years in Colorado and had a mowing business there, prior to moving to Bryan. Steve was a “computer geek” and enjoyed gaming. He really enjoyed fishing, especially in Colorado and the Wisconsin Dells area. Steve M. Pixler was born on March 9, 1956, in Rockford, Illinois, the son of Jerome “Jerry” and Valerie (Colby) Pixler. Steve's survivors include his significant other, Kathy Iler, of Bryan; parents, Jerry and Valerie Pixler, of Rockford, Illinois; children, Aaron Pixler, Sr. and Stephanie Pixler; grandson, Aaron Pixler, Jr.; sister, Staci Almond; stepsons, Michael DeStazio and Matthew Costanzo; and his dog and “Little Man,” Jamison. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Violet Colby; aunt, Wanda Brungart; brother-in-law, Dan Almond; and stepson, Mark Costanzo. In keeping with Steve’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to an organization of the donor’s choice.
