Janet Orick, age 58, of Angola, Indiana, died on Friday, August 14, 2015, at her home in Angola. She attended Edgerton High School and was currently employed by Western Consolidated Technologies in Fremont, Indiana. Her greatest joy in life was being with her grandchildren and her dog, Charlie. She also enjoyed collecting rocks and hunting treasures at garage sales in the area. Janet Orick was born on December 25, 1956, in Jellico, Tennessee, the daughter of Charles and Johnnie Jean (Jones) Orick. Survivors include one daughter, Kelly (Shane) Baker, of Fremont, Indiana, one son, Matt W. Friedel, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, five grandchildren, her mother, Johnnie Jean Partin, of Edgerton, Ohio, one brother, Gerald (Theresa) Orick, of Edgerton, one sister, Cathy (Bob) Owsley, of Butler, Indiana, her former husband, Denny Friedel, of Indianapolis, Indiana, and a good friend, Dale Snyder, of Angola. She was preceded in death by one son, Benjamin Friedel, her father and stepmother, Charles and Jean Orick, and her stepfather, Jim Partin. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 21, 2015, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton, Ohio. Services will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, with Pastor Michael Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Edgerton. Memorials are requested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
