Charlotte V. Gillies Priem

Charlotte V. Gillies Priem, age 95, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 9:07 A.M. on Saturday, August 1, 2015, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice, near Defiance, Ohio, after a brief illness. Mrs. Priem was a longtime resident of the Detroit, Michigan, area and worked in retail sales at J.L. Hudson Department Store and for many years in the kitchen with a nursing home in Clinton Township Michigan. She enjoyed dancing and did so well into her 90s. She also loved her dogs, owning many over the years and her parakeet, “Terry.” Charlotte V. Gillies Priem was born on June 17, 1920, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of John L. and Veronica (Bobroski) Jerlecki. She married Gordon A. Gillies on November 27, 1947, in Detroit and he preceded her in death in April of 1965. She then married Marcel Priem in 1970 and preceded her in death in 1987. She is survived by one daughter, Dolores (Ronald E.) Whitman, of Bryan. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Virginia M. Gallagher, and one brother, John F. Jerlecki. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2015, from 5:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Services will be held in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, on Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. with Father Dan Borgelt officiating Interment will follow in Williams Center Cemetery, Williams Center, Ohio. Memorials are requested to the Williams County Humane Society.
