Thomas E. March, age 80, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away at 10:59 A.M. on Tuesday, July 22, 2015, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice Center near Defiance, Ohio. Tom was a welder for 57 years, an avid bow hunter and bowler. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1957-1959. Tom was a member of Madison Church of God and the American Legion Post 284 in Bryan. Thomas E. March was born on October 14, 1934, in Muskegon Heights, Michigan, the son of Clarence Vern and Beatrice Lucille (Shupp) March. He married Lou Ann Taylor on February 10, 1961, in Montpelier, Ohio, and she survives. Thomas is also survived by a daughter, Lisa March, of Bryan; grandchildren, Angel (J.R.) Girdham, of Archbold and Jasmine Houser, of Wauseon; great grandchildren, Thomas, Deven, Justin, Zachary, Caitlyn and Brayden Girdham, Melody Rhodes, Natilie Mena and Braxton McFarlen and sisters, Nancy (Robert) Caywood, of Rochester, Indiana, Linda Smith, of Bryan and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Rupp, Sr., of Edon and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Laurie Ann Houser, sisters, Barbara Rupp and Mary Ellen Rupp and brothers, James, Jack and Richard March. Grave side funeral services for Thomas E. March will be held in Shiffler Cemetery at 11:30 A.M. on Monday, July 27, 2015, with Pastor Charles Gray officiating. Grave side military rites will be presented by Bryan American Legion Post 284 and the United States Army. Funeral services have been entrusted to Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. Memorials are requested to Community Health Professionals Hospice, the Madison Church of God or to the family for a pine tree to be planted in Tom’s memory.
