Timothy E. Disbro, age 59, of Edon, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at Mercy Hospital, in Defiance, Ohio, after an extended illness. He had been a resident of Brookview Health Care Center in Defiance for several years. A 1974 graduate of Edon (Ohio) High School, Tim grew up on the family farm, working alongside his grandfather and father, later becoming co-owner of Disbro Farms and Disbro Trucking with his brother, Tony. Timothy Eugene Disbro was born on July 14, 1956, in Angola, Indiana, the son of Gary and Carol (Schieber) Disbro. He married Peggy Schaffter on September 6, 1980, at New Hope Church in Camden, Michigan, and she survives. Survivors also include two children, a son, Adam (Jennifer) Disbro, of rural Edon, and a daughter, Connie Disbro, of Plymouth, Indiana; and two grandchildren, Troy and Marissa Disbro, of rural Edon. Also surviving are his mother, Carol Disbro, and two brothers, Anthony Disbro and Terry Disbro, all of Edon. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Disbro. Visitation for Timothy E. Disbro will be held on Friday, July 24, 2015, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. at Krill Funeral Home, Edon. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Edon United Methodist Church, 103 Pleasant Street, Edon, Ohio, with Pastor Roger Marlow officiating. A private family burial at Rogers Cemetery near the family farm will follow at a later time. The family deeply appreciates the loving care received at Brookview through the years.
