Paul L. Franzdorf, age 70, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan. Paul started working at Toledo Athletic Supply and at one time owned Defiance Athletic Supply and Awards Plus in Defiance, Ohio. He was also a courier for Purolator and Emery and was an owner-operator courier for Sudden Service Expediting. In his retirement, Paul was an avid woodworker. He made many projects to donate to his church and area schools for fund-raisers. He was also a lover of Corvettes, having raced them in his youth and owning one his entire adult life. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bryan and the former Corvette Club in Defiance. Paul L. Franzdorf was born on September 7, 1944, in Defiance, Ohio, the son of Alfred Arthur and Ida Grace (Floehr) Franzdorf. He graduated from Ayersville High School and was a member of the U.S. Army Reserve. He married Dolores (Wieland) Troyer on October 17, 1987, in Bryan, Ohio, and she survives. He is also survived by his son, Matthew (Amber) Franzdorf, of Bryan; grandchildren, Abram (Mikaela) Franzdorf, of Defiance, and Savannah and Nolan Franzdorf, both of Bryan; brother, William (Carolyn) Franzdorf, of Defiance; sisters, Marie (Jack) Clark, of Defiance, and his twin, Pauline (Jack) Crites-Brown, of Bryan; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kenneth Franzdorf. A memorial service for Paul L. Franzdorf will be held on Monday, July 20, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Bryan, Ohio, with Pastor Mary Beth Smith-Gunn officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00-4:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 19, 2015, at Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. Memorials in the name of Paul L. Franzdorf may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Fresenius Medical Care Dialysis Center in Bryan.
