Yvonne C. Cottrell, age 62, of Edgerton, Ohio, passed away at 5:46 P.M. on Thursday, June 25, 2015, in her home surrounded by family. Mrs. Cottrell had been a longtime resident of the Reading and Camden, Michigan, area prior to moving to Edgerton. She was a restaurant cook for many years and had been a member of the Reading, Michigan, Lions Club and the VFW Post Auxiliary, where she served as chaplain. Yvonne enjoyed crocheting, playing computer games and raising and nurturing her house plants. Yvonne Carol Cottrell was born on November 30, 1952, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, the daughter of Noaman and Florence (Blankenship) Dawson. She married John W. Cottrell on February 9, 1977, in Toledo, Ohio, and he survives. Survivors also include four daughters, Tammy Lynn (Todd Studebaker) Collins, of Meridian, Idaho, Tonya Marie (Corey Fennicle) Alexandrowski, of Montpelier, Ohio, Angela Mae (Thomas W. “T.W.”) Barns, of Reading, Michigan, and Christina Michelle (Scott) Thompson, of Hillsdale, Michigan, twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Roger, Jerry and Bobby Gene Dawson. The family will have a Celebration of Life dinner on Sunday, June 28, 2015, at 2:00 P.M., located at the Camden Community Center, 611 West Bell Street, Camden, Michigan.
