Paul L. Hitt, age 71, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 5:50 P.M. on Sunday, June 21, 2015, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice near Defiance, Ohio, after an extended illness. A lifelong resident of Bryan, he was a graduate of Bryan High School and worked for Bryan Ford Lincoln Mercury as an auto detailer for more than twenty years. Paul enjoyed working on cars and lawn mowers and had operated the “Auto Shop” from his garage at his home in Bryan for many years. Paul L. Hitt was born on May 4, 1944, in Bryan, the son of Ray F. and Neva (Reeves) Hitt. He married Barbara J. Jennings on October 29, 1976, in Bryan and she survives. Survivors also include two daughters, Dawn Hitt, in Florida, and Diane Hitt, of Bryan; three stepchildren, Kevin Alabata, of Bryan, Susie (Tony) Ebersole, of Tempe, Arizona, and Cathy (Doug Herman) Enriquez, of Hamilton, Indiana; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Doran (Carol) Hitt, of Stryker, Ohio, and one sister, Sharon (Terry) Witte, of Bryan. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Al Hitt. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2015, from 2:00-4:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. A memorial service celebrating the life of Paul L. Hitt will follow at 4:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, with Pastor John MacFarlane officiating.
