Ruby M. Crites, age 86, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away at 7:25 P.M. on Sunday, June 7, 2015, at St. Vincent Heart & Vascular Center in Toledo. Ruby was a homemaker and helped her husband farm their land. Together, they raised and sold sweet corn near the corner of US 6 and US 127, south of Bryan. She was a member of the Ney Church of God. Born April 10, 1929 in Sylvania, Ohio, she was the daughter of Carl A. and Edna M. (Knepper) Beer. She was a graduate of Ney High School. On December 20, 1947 she married Marvin B. Crites, and he survives. Ruby is also survived by her children, Marvin (Marlene) Crites, Jr., of Ney and Kathy (Mick) Hall, of Defiance; four grandchildren, Nikki (Matt) Grine, of Bryan, Alissa (Nikki Brown) Hall, of Defiance, Scott (Megan) Crites, of Spencerville, Indiana, Erica (Charles Gray) Hall, of Defiance; eight great grandchildren, Braeden, Brett, Evan, Lilly, Brielle, Isaac, Emma and Logan and a sister, Lois Boland, of Sherwood. She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Kelly Crites. Funeral services for Ruby M. Crites will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan with Pastors Kevin King and Ron Adkins officiating. Burial will follow at Evansport Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Contributions in memory of Ruby may be made to the Ney Church of God or Ney United Methodist Church.
