Lois M. Stanton, age 69, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 11:37 A.M. on Friday, June 5, 2015, shortly after admittance to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan. A lifelong resident of Bryan, Mrs. Stanton was a 1963 graduate of Bryan High School and was employed by The Aro Corporation, retiring with twenty-five years of service. She was a longtime member of Eastland Baptist Church in Bryan and the Garnet Gals Red Hat Society. Lois was known as the “Cake Lady” in Bryan, having made cakes for hundreds of graduations, weddings and birthdays. Lois M. Stanton was born on June 27, 1945, in Bryan, the daughter of Ora and Audrey (Garbric) Winters. She is survived by one daughter, Jennifer (Gregory) Reissland, of Cincinnati, Ohio, one sister, Alice Wilson, of Bryan, two brothers, John (Caroline) Winters, of Ft. Myers, Florida, and Rae (Janet) Winters, of Rosamond, California, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by one sister, June Lindsey. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2015, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Services will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, with Pastor Jeff Sheldon officiating. Private interment will take place in Shiffler Cemetery, near Bryan. Memorials in the name of Lois M. Stanton are requested to Eastland Baptist Church.
