Margaret D Keppeler

Margaret D. Keppeler, age 89, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 10:15 P.M. on Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at Community Memorial Hospital in Hicksville, Ohio, where she was a patient. Mrs. Keppeler was a 1943 graduate of Spencerville, Indiana, High School and was an Avon sales representative for nearly twenty-five years. She also drove school bus for the Edgerton Local Schools for ten years. She was a member of Sodom Grange, West Milford Church of Christ, the Williams County Pork Producers and John D. Smith Post #10 American Legion Auxiliary. Margaret was a fun loving individual who enjoyed life and also entertaining as her alter ego, Muggins the Clown. Margaret D. Keppeler was born on November 6, 1925, in Saint Joe, Indiana, the daughter of Jesse J. and Della Blanche (Mann) Hart. She married Marvin M. Keppeler on August 8, 1946, in Auburn, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on May 8, 2009. Surviving are two daughters, Linda (Jerry) Demorest and Sharon (Phil) Patterson, both of Fort Wayne, Indiana; three sons, Garold (Jody) Keppeler, Gayle (Vicki) Keppeler, of Edgerton, and Lee (Lana) Keppeler, of Bryan; thirteen grandchildren; and twenty-three great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Leota Keppeler, Lucille Monosmith, and Annabelle Hart, and five brothers, Walter, Jesse, Leoral, Henry and James Hart. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Monday, June 8, 2015. Services will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. in the West Milford Church of Christ with Ministers Dan Grant and Fred Lab officiating. Visitation will also be held in the church one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton, Ohio. Memorials are requested to Woodburn Christian Children’s Home of Woodburn, Indiana.
