Eric L. “Tater” Pierce, age 38, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 5:32 P.M. on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, of injuries sustained in a car accident. Eric was a cook operator at ConAgra in Archbold, Ohio. He was a member of the Bryan Eagle Aerie #2233, a member of the “Teddy Bear Gang” and enjoyed working on motorcycles. He had a passion for British bikes with ape hangers. He was also a music trivia master, enjoyed re-purposing old thrown away items to new pieces and working on old cars. Eric LaVon Pierce was born on November 16, 1976, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of Glen A. and Mary Louise (Fenter) Pierce. He was a 1995 graduate of Bryan High School and 4-County Career Center in automotive technoloy and had studied mechanical engineering in college. Eric is survived by his significant other, Krista Feeney, of Bryan; sister, Laura Kowalis, of Edgerton, Ohio; nieces, Alexandria Kowalis and Jennifer Kowalis, both of Angola, Indiana, and Jacklyn Dagitz, of Edon, Ohio; a nephew, Orion Dagitz, of Edon; half brothers, Mark Eitenear, of Pioneer, Ohio, and Brian Eitenear, of Defiance, Ohio; half sister, Cindy Narvetta, of Defiance, Ohio; paternal grandmother, Ruth Pierce, of Montpelier, Ohio; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen A. Pierce and Mary Louise Wills, paternal grandfather, Marvin Pierce, maternal grandparents, Leon and Louise Fenter, and an aunt, Joyce Phillips. A memorial service to celebrate Eric’s life will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Roger Blough officiating at Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 P.M., prior to the service. Memorial contributions in Eric’s name may be directed to the NAMI Alliance or the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
