Larry D. Hake, age 80, of Edon, Ohio, died at 9:50 P.M. on Sunday, May 24, 2015, at Hillside Country Living near Bryan, Ohio. Mr. Hake was a 1952 graduate of Edon High School. He was employed as a salesman by the Hubbard Milling Company, where he was most often the top salesman of the year. He retired with forty years of service, the last fifteen years as District Manager. He was also a longtime member of the Edon Church of Christ. Larry D. Hake was born on September 7, 1934, near Edon, the son of Albert L. and Alice (Shearer) Hake. He married Arlene Krill on August 13, 1952, in Edon and she survives. Survivors also include one son, Gary (Rita) Hake, of Edon; two daughters, Sharon and her fiancee, John Myers, of Ashley, Indiana, and Laura (Eddie) Wehrle, of Edon; seven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and one brother, Roger (Dorothy) Hake, of Edon. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Hollis, Leslie and Robert Hake, and one sister, Phyllis Dietrich. Visitation will be held in the Edon Church Christ on Friday, May 29, 2015, from 11:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M. Service will follow at 4:00 P.M. in the Church with David LaDuke and Cliff Graves, Ministers officiating. Interment will follow in Edon Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the Edon Church of Christ or to Hillside Country Living.
