Clarence O. “Jim” Bigger, age 78, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 9:43 A.M. on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he was a patient. Mr. Bigger was employed by Simpson Industries for many years and also had been employed by Edgerton Forge and Regent Manufacturing, from where he retired. He also had worked at the Shell Station in Edgerton for some time. Jim was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and enjoyed woodworking. Clarence O. “Jim” Bigger was born near Edgerton on September 9, 1936, the son of Clarence O. and Pauline J. (Nichols) Bigger. He married Velma L. Goebel on June 14, 1958, in Edgerton, and she preceded him in death on March 9, 2007. Survivors include three daughters, Christina (Terry) Terrill, of Hickville, Ohio, Sandra (Keith) Thompson and Dawn (Leslie) Thompson, both of Edgerton; one son, Clarence O. (Connie) “Buddy” Bigger, Jr., of Edgerton; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Diane (Donald) Chaney, of Hicksville, Ohio, Carolyn (Phil) Snyder, of Laotto, Indiana, and Shirley (Dan) Moore, of Charlotte Hall, Maryland; and two brothers, John (Carol) Bigger, of Edgerton, and Donald (Laura) Bigger, of Auburn, Indiana. He was also preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, Kimberly, in 1969, four brothers, Jerry, Harold, Robert and Ronald Bigger, and one sister, Cheryl Kurtz. Visitation for Clarence O. “Jim” Bigger will be on Friday, May 22, 2015, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral in Edgerton. Grave side services will be conducted on Saturday, May 23, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Edgerton, with Pastor Byron Adams officiating. Memorials in the name of Clarence O. “Jim” Bigger are requested to the American Heart Association.
