Martha Ann Harvey

Martha Ann (Leckron) Harvey, age 81, of Bryan, Ohio, and formerly of Jonesboro, Indiana, for seventy years, died at 8:10 A.M. on Monday, May 18, 2015, at Hillside Country Living, near Bryan. Mrs. Harvey was a graduate of Fairmount, Indiana, High School and later became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was employed by the Veterans Administration Hospital in Marion, Indiana, for sixteen years and attended New Hope Baptist Church in Gas City, Indiana. She also was an avid quilter, making over 200 quilts throughout the years, and was a member of the Bryan First Baptist Church. Martha Ann Harvey was born on April 18, 1934, in New Paris, Indiana, the daughter of Paul Eugene and Blanche Garnett (See) Leckron. She married Hal Harvey on March 2, 1952, in Jonesboro, Indiana, and he survives. Survivors also include one daughter, Jane Bell, of Bryan; one son, Hal Eugene (Peggy) Harvey, of Bryan; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Loretta Belle Edgman, of Muncie, Indiana; and one brother, Robert Harold Leckron, of Jonesboro. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Tracey, on May 12, 2009, one brother, Dale Lee Leckron, and one great-grandson, Noah Fry. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, from 3:00-5:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Services will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2015, in the New Hope Baptist Church, in Gas City, Indiana, at 12:00 P.M. with Pastor Herb Hughes officiating. Visitation will also be held in the church for two hours prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Fairmount, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to New Hope Baptist Church in Gas City, Indiana, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
