Richard “Dick” E. Snow, age 63, of Farmer, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at his home, surrounded by his family. Dick work at Trim Trends and later Global Suspensions. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy in Special Forces from 1969-1973 and served two tours of duty during the Vietnam War. He earned the Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Combat Action Ribbon. Dick was a member of AmVets Post #54 in Bryan, the Farmer American Legion Post #137 and the Bryan Eagles Aerie #2233. He enjoyed going to auctions with his brother, Dan, was an avid poker player, golfer, outdoors man and loved hunting mushrooms. Born on May 10, 1951, in Bryan, Richard was the son of Edgar “Ace” Snow and Lillian “Rose” (Greathouse) Snow. He was a 1969 graduate of Fairview High School. Dick married Coelyn A. Sharrock on November 18, 1978, in Deshler, Ohio, and she survives. Dick is also survived by his sons, Jed (Rachel Bruner) Snow, of Hicksville, Ohio, and Jeremy (Shelby Fleming) Havens, of Farmer, Ohio; grandchildren, Jacob, Ethan and Kendra Havens and Winter Snow; siblings, Dan (Marie) Snow, of Williams Center, Ohio, Harvey (Denise) Snow, of Sherwood, Ohio, Vera (Jeff) Schilt, of Bryan, Edgar Snow, of Stryker, Ohio, Greg (Jennifer) Snow, of Santa Maria, California, Brenda Snow, of Toledo, Ohio, and Charlie Snow, of Ney, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Miranda Havens. Honoring Dick’s wishes, grave side memorial services and military rites will be held at Farmer Cemetery later this summer. Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements. Memorial contributions may be given to Community Health Professional Home Health and Hospice of Defiance.
