Norita Leppelmeier, age 79, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 2:20 A.M. on Thursday, March 12, 2015, at Hickory Creek Nursing Center in Hicksville, Ohio, where she was a resident. Mrs. Leppelmeier was a homemaker and drove school bus for Edgerton Local Schools for twenty-five years. She was an active member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church near Edgerton, where she was a member of the Ladies Aide, Sunshine Committee and Altar Club. An avid supporter of Edgerton Bulldog sports, she enjoyed driving the team bus, attending games supporting the teams and watching her grandchildren play and normally she and her husband would be the first in the stands to get that perfect seat. Norita Leppelmeier was born on April 27, 1935, in Rossmoyne, Ohio, in Hamilton County, the daughter of Dallas Texas and Viola Elvira (Grubbs) Lee. She married Harold A. Leppelmeier on July 13, 1951, in Edgerton, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on December 22, 2011. Survivors include two sons, Ron (Cindy) Leppelmeier and Kenny (Terri) Leppelmeier, both of Edgerton; one daughter, Jayne (Troy) Hile, also of Edgerton; seven grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Robert, Harry and Jack Lee; and two sisters, Adeline Bauer and Annabelle Palmerton. Visitation will he held on Monday, March 16, 2015, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home in Edgerton. Services will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. in the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church near Edgerton with Reverend Kurt Letcher officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Edgerton. Memorials are requested to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church or to Hickory Creek Nursing Center Activity Fund.
