Ruby P. Miller, age 88, of rural Edon, Ohio, died at 6:50 P.M. on Thursday, January 29, 2015, shortly after admittance to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Montpelier, Ohio, after a sudden illness. Mrs. Miller was an avid cook and enjoyed baking and raising farm animals and was an excellent homemaker. She attended River of Life Worship Center near Montpelier, Ohio. Ruby P. Miller was born on February 22, 1926, near Kokomo, Indiana, the daughter of Jessie and Lauretta (Shrock) Schrock. She married Fred Miller on November 16, 1948, in Amboy, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on May 3, 1983. Survivors include six sons, Ronald Miller, of Montpelier, Homer (Patricia) Miller, of Stryker, Ohio, Donnie (Sandra) Miller, also of Stryker, Wilfred Miller, Carl Miller and George (Holly) Miller, all of Edon; three daughters, Juanita (John) Graber, of Stryker, Marietta (Stan) Mowry, of Denver, Colorado, and Joanna (Stan) Miller, of Amboy, Indiana; eighteen grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren with one on the way. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, Leroy Edward Miller, her stepmother, Katie Schrock, and one sister, Wilma Zigler. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 6, 2015, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. Services will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. at River of Life Worship Center, 14226 U.S. Highway 20A, near Montpelier, Ohio, with Pastor Homer Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Lost Creek Cemetery. Memorials are requested to River of Life Worship Center.
