Laura M. Cogswell, age 50, of Edon, Ohio, went to heaven at 11:45 A.M. on Monday, January 12, 2015, in her parent’s home after an extended illness. Laura had worked at several area factories during her working career She was a kidney transplant recipient in 1998 and was a member of the Victory Barn near Edgerton. She received a degree from Prayer Mountain Bible College through her church. Laura was born on October 20, 1964 in Hudson, Michigan, the daughter of Donald Hugh and Helen Rose (Cole) Swager. She is survived by her sons, Richard D. Cogswell, Jr. and Patrick A. Cogswell, both of Edon; parents, Donald and Helen Swager, of Hillsdale, Michigan; brothers, Steven D. Swager, of Camden, Michigan and Robert L. Swager, of Hillsdale and her paternal grandmother, Marie Lauchlen, of Hillsdale, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Donald Swager, Sr., Raymond Lauchlen and Justice (Laura) Cole. Funeral services for Laura M. Cogswell will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 12:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 204 West Indiana Street, Edon with Pastor Rosene Short-Moseley officiating. Burial will follow at Frontier Cemetery, Frontier, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home in Edon Memorial contributions may be given to the Susan G. Komen Fund or the Kidney Foundation.
