Charlene K. Flynn, age 82, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 5:02 P.M. on Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice near Defiance, Ohio, after a brief illness. Charlene was a graduate of Butler, Indiana, High School and became an Accounts Representative for American Airlines, working in New York City for sixteen years and then in Cincinnati for sixteen years until her retirement in 1991. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bryan, enjoyed reading and traveling in her younger years and especially loved her animals. Charlene K. Flynn was born on August 31, 1932, in Butler, Indiana, the daughter of James B. and Lenora (Kelble) Flynn. Survivors include nine nieces and nephews, numerous great- and great-great-nieces and nephews, a special cousin, Myra (Dan) Koop, of Plano, Texas, and her family, and a sister-in-law, Mary Flynn, of Bryan. She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Flynn, and a sister, Celeste Blinzler. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 3, 2014, in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bryan, with Father James Halleron officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Edgerton, Ohio. Visitation will be held in the church for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 9:00 A.M.
