Dorothy M. Berry, age 83, of rural Bryan, Ohio, died at 6:30 A.M. on Friday, December 19, 2014, at Evergreen Manor Nursing Center in Montpelier, Ohio, where she was a resident. Mrs. Berry was a 1949 graduate of Edon High School and was a long-time employee of Custom Fit, where she sewed seat covers and bucket seats. Dorothy enjoyed reading and doing word search puzzles. Dorothy M. Berry was born on February 17, 1931, in Edon, Ohio, the daughter of Cleo and Donna (Shaffer) Jack. She married Jack L. Berry on September 6, 1952, in Fremont, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on May 29, 1994. Survivors include four daughters, Barbara J. Berry, of Bryan, Jeri Ailiff, of Wauseon, Ohio, Laurie (Carl, Jr.) Unger, and Dawn Goodwin, both of Bryan; one son, Jeff (Lisa) Berry, of Sherwood, Ohio; twenty grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Denton “Gene” (Donna) Jack, of Bryan, Willis Jack, of Butler, Indiana, and Steve (Donna) Jack, of Mims, Florida,; and one sister, Doris Lawter, of Bryan. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, John, Leslie, Robert Cleo and Allen Duane Jack. A memorial service celebrating the life of Dorothy M. Berry will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, with Pastor Diane Schaffner officiating. Interment will be in Edon Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association.
