Carolan S. Brickey, age 72, of rural Montpelier, Ohio, died at 8:50 P.M. on Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan, where she had been a patient. Carolan had been disabled for several years, but prior to that had worked in factories, was a pharmacy technician for many years and did domestic cleaning. She loved music, dancing and crocheting. Carolan was born on December 14, 1942, in Wise, Virginia, the daughter of Earl M. and Grace L. (Thacker) Beverly. She married Dennis Brickey in Wise, Virginia, and he preceded her in death on December 23, 2008. Carolan is survived by her daughter, Sherry (Rich) Trubey, of Bryan; grandson, Christopher (Anna) Trubey, of Stryker, Ohio; granddaughter and fiancé, MaKenzie (Jacob Manges) Trubey, of Bryan; great-grandsons, Levi and Lincoln Trubey, of Stryker; brothers, Earl (Wilma) Beverly, of Winter Haven, Florida, and William Beverly, of Paulding, Ohio; sisters, Erma Carlin and Glenda (Sam) Johnson, both of Bryan; and her special companion, Kenneth Keirns, of Montpelier. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dennis; brother, Denver Beverly; and sisters, Kathrine Hopkins and Evelyn Dixon. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 P.M. on Friday, December 19, 2014, in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, with Pastor Larry Snavely officiating. Visitation for Carolan will be held from 4:00-7:30 P.M., prior to the service. Carolan will be buried at Wise Cemetery in Wise, Virginia, in a private service. Memorials are requested to the First Church of Christ, Bryan.
