Wayne I. “Coon” Chrisman, age 88, of Edon, Ohio, died on Saturday, November 29, 2014, in his home. Mr. Chrisman was a 1944 graduate of Edon High School and served in the United States Army. He was employed by Edon Farmers Co-op, retiring with thirty-three years of service, and was a lifelong member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Edon. Wayne was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and enjoyed watching TV, hunting and trapping. Wayne I. Chrisman was born on September 21, 1926, near Edon, Ohio, the son of William and Katherine (Ebinger) Chrisman. He married Rose Marie Aldrich on January 18, 1947, in Angola, Indiana, and she preceded him in death on August 24, 2013. Survivors include his children, Gary (Jan) Chrisman, of Edon, Diane (Rex) Hale, of Findlay, Ohio, Christy (Dale) Bryant, of Bryan, Ohio, Gregory (Tammy) Chrisman, of Edon, and Dawn (Pat) Bakies, of Carey, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Roderick (Cara) Wood, Matthew (Lisa) Wood, Travis (Sarah) Wood, Cody (Britni) Chrisman, Brian (Emmy) Schuller, Roxanne (John) Warren, Billie Ma’arouf, Amanda Chrisman and Kaitlin Chrisman; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, William, Denver, Robert and Edgar Chrisman; and three sisters, Helen Walton, Frieda Yarlott and Anna Cummins. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2014, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 204 West Indiana Street, Edon. Services will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. in St. Peter Lutheran Church with Pastor Roger Marlow and Pastor Larry Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Edon Cemetery. Memorials are requested to St. Peter Lutheran Church in Edon.
