Donald D. Geiger, age 74, of Paulding, Ohio, passed away at 5:20 A.M. on Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at his residence. Donald graduated from Paulding High School in 1959 and served in the U.S. Army from 1959-1962 with the 12th Cavalry. He worked at Challenge Cook for 15 years until the plant closed and then Aro Corporation in Bryan for 15 years until his retirement. He was a member of the Paulding Eagles Aerie #2405 and Bryan AmVets Post #54. Born on July 28, 1940, in Bryan, Ohio, Donald was the son of Clarence and Mary (Hill) Geiger, Sr. He is survived by his partner, Judy Knapp, of Paulding; children, Mike (Kerry) Geiger, of Cecil, Michele (Marie) Geiger, of Paulding, Patti (Adam) Espinoza, of Bryan, Christina (Kevin) Davies, of Van Wert, Cheryl (Don) Doster, of Van Wert and Steve (Lisa) Grunden, of Genoa, Ohio; 22 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Geiger; mother Mary (Glen) Wallace; a daughter, Tina Burdine; brother, Clarence Geiger, Jr. and sister, Betty Jean Geiger. Visitation for Donald D. Geiger will be held on Friday, November 28, 2014, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 29, 2014, at the funeral home with Pastor David Oliphant officiating. Burial at Brown Cemetery will follow the services with grave side military honors conducted by the Bryan VFW Post 2489. Memorials are requested to the American Cancer Society.
