Wava F. Missler, age 87, of Bryan, Ohio, and formerly of Edon, Ohio, died at 8:05 P.M. on Friday, October 17, 2014, at Genesis HealthCare-Bryan Center after a brief illness. Mrs. Missler was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bryan. She enjoyed attending the Bryan Senior Center and was an avid fan of the Indiana Hoosiers. Wava F. Missler was born on May 5, 1927, in DeKalb County, Indiana, the daughter of Floyd E. and Lora E.(Kauffman) Musser. She married Andrew J. Missler on August 17, 1946, in Covington, Kentucky, and he preceded her in death on April 28, 2002. Survivors include three sons, Richard (Donna) Missler and Robert A. Missler, both of Bryan, Ohio, and William R. (Patricia) Missler, of Montpelier, Ohio; one daughter, Carolyn (Eugene) Dargitz, of Edon, Ohio; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one sister, Velma Ellert, of Ashley, Indiana. She was also preceded in death by one son, Terry, on April 7, 1966, one brother, Arnold Musser, and eight sisters, Nina Canfield, Rheba Lucas, Opal Stoy, Vera Smith, Georgia Hartman, Ruth Hire, Janice DeYoung and Alta Gettys. Services for Wava F. Missler will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, with Pastor Mary Beth Smith-Gunn officiating. Interment will follow in Edon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 21, 2014, in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan. Memorials in the name of Wava F. Missler may be given to the Bryan Senior Center or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
