Randall “Randy” G. Bohnlein, age 64, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away at 4:47 A.M. on Friday, October 10, 2014, at his residence. Randy was a teacher with the Bryan City Schools for 35 years. He taught English, Mass Media and Cisco, as well as photography. He was the “Tech Support” for Lincoln and Washington Elementary Schools for 10 years and earned the name “Mr. Laptop” from the students. He began his teaching career at Delphos St. John High School, his alma mater. Randy received his bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University and his Masters from St. Francis University in Fort Wayne. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Delphos, the Bryan Retired Teacher’s Association and the “McDonald’s Coffee Club”. Randall G. Bohnlein was born October 19, 1949 in Lima, Ohio, the son of George H. and Bettie J. (Fenter) Bohnlein. He married Dawn E. Hilton in Bryan on March 17, 1984, and she survives. Randy is also survived by his children, Marianne Bohnlein, of Bryan, John Bohnlein, of Auburn, Indiana, Julie Bohnlein, and Krista Bohnlein, both of Ypsilanti, Michigan; grandsons, Sonny and Ralphy Bohnlein, of Auburn, Indiana; his sister, Janie (Darryl) Lucas, of Delphos and his mother, Bettie J. Bohnlein, of Delphos. He was preceded in death by his father, George H. Bohnlein. A memorial service celebrating the life of Randall G. Bohnlein will be held on Monday, October 13, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan with Father James Halleron officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Contributions in memory of Randy may be directed to the Bryan Academic Booster’s Club.
