Isabelle “Issy” Stantz, age 89, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 5:51 P.M. on Sunday, September 28, 2014, in her home, surrounded by her family, after an extended illness. Mrs. Stantz was employed by the Ohio Art Company on the Etch-A-Sketch line, retiring in 1983, receiving a gold Etch-A-Sketch for her years of service. Her favorite pastime was sitting in her porch swing watching the neighborhood and the cars going by. Isabelle Stantz was born near Bryan on January 3, 1925, the daughter of Andrew and Lottie (Friend) Zimmerman. She married Vance E. Stantz on June 20, 1942, in Bryan and he preceded her in death on May 12, 1993. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Arnetta Hancock, of Bryan and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and five sisters. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3, 2014, from 12:00-1:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Grave side services will be held on Friday, October 3, 2014, at 1:30 P.M. in Fountain Grove Cemetery, Bryan, with Maryann Reimund officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Community Health Professionals Hospice and Home Health Care, 127 Blakeslee Avenue, Bryan, OH 43506, or to the Williams County Humane Society.
