Mary Jane Vold, age 87, of Napoleon, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2014, surrounded by her loved ones at Lutheran Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Napoleon. She was a member of the Union Chapel Church of God near Bryan. Born January 29, 1927, in Jackson County, Michigan, Mary was the daughter of Anthony August and Amelia Sarah (Kelly) Meyer. She married Harold G. Vold and he preceded her in death in 1974. Mary is survived by her children, Jeanne Miller, of Montpelier, Frederick (Mickey) Vold, of Napoleon, Harold “Bud” (Yvonne) Vold, of Bryan, Kathleen (Ron) Rausch, of Napoleon, Frances Crase, of Campton, Kentucky, Raymond Vold, of Holgate, Debora (Darrell) Smith, of Nettle Lake, and Peggy (Charlie) Wannamacher, of Holgate; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Amelia Oliver, of Mason, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold Vold, Sr.; grandsons, Brock Mohler and Chawn Wannamacher; and a great-granddaughter, Sarah Wannamacher. A memorial service celebrating the life of Mary Jane Vold will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2014, at 2:00 P.M. at the Union Chapel Church of God with Pastor Dennis Jones officiating. Mary’s final resting place will be in Udell Cemetery, Ypsilanti, Michigan. Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, is handling the arrangements.
