Minerva Aguilar, age 79, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 11:30 P.M. on Monday, August 11, 2014, at Genesis HealthCare-Bryan, where she was a resident. Mrs. Aguilar was formerly employed by Bryan Canning Company, retiring with seventeen years of service. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bryan. Minerva Aguilar was born on September 10, 1934, in Falfurrias, Texas, the daughter of Filomeno and Herminia (Ramirez) Garza. She married Genaro Aguilar on September 21, 1963, in Caldwell, Idaho, and he survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Herminea Aguilar, of Bryan, two brothers, Ignacio (Lupe) Garza, of Bryan, and Casimiro Garza, in Arizona; and three sisters, Irma (Raul) Perez, of Nampa, Idaho, Amelia (Gilberto) Perez, of McCallan, Texas, and Delia (Manuel) Alfaro, of Delta, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two infant daughters, Maria Irma and Lisa. Services will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2014, at 1:00 P.M. in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bryan. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 P.M. Interment will be in Fountain Grove Cemetery, Bryan.
