Marguerite A. Koch, age 92, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 10:10 P.M. on Monday, June 23, 2014, at Genesis HealthCare-Bryan Center, where she was a resident. Mrs. Koch was a graduate of Bryan High School and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, where she held the longest membership in church history. She was a member of the Shamrock Circle at St. Patrick, Top of Ohio Red Hats, Northeast Neighborhood Association, and Women of the Moose, where she was a past Regent, and was active with Church Women United. Marguerite A. Koch was born on March 17, 1922, in Bryan, Ohio, the daughter of Joseph C. and Madge H. (Snyder) Schuhmacher. She married Walter E. Koch on April 27, 1946, in Bryan and he preceded her in death on August 30, 1990. Survivors include three daughters, Candice (Robert) Tressler, of West Unity, Ohio, Kathleen “Kay” (Rick) Brink, of Bryan, and Dorothy (Donald) Staley, of Plant City, Florida; two sons, Edward (Deb) Koch, of Ney, Ohio, and Dr. Walter (Macaira) Koch, of Broomall, Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren, Wendy Tressler, Cory (Amy) Tressler, Jonathan (Enian) Phillips, Jodi (Ben) Kruse, Andrea (Christopher) Pullella, Adam (Kristin) Koch, Walter Koch and Joseph Koch; and ten great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Grant Schuhmacher, and two sisters, Rita Cunningham and Donna Lahey. Services will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father James Halleron officiating. Interment will follow in Shiffler Cemetery near Bryan. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30, 2014, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, with a scripture service at 8:00 P.M. on Monday. Memorials are requested to the Williams County Library or to St. Patrick Catholic Church.
